What are we doing?
This action will ensure the ongoing delivery of an integrated, multi-disciplinary crisis response to sexual assault in Tasmania. It also provides the opportunity to build upon the existing system and take additional steps to provide trauma-informed and client-centred care. The sexual assault crisis response in Tasmania is coordinated across key services. The coordination protocols between services will be reviewed to ensure ongoing alignment with best-practice care principles.
- Review the regional sexual assault protocols is an action under Safe Homes, Families, Communities: Tasmania’s action plan for family and sexual violence 2019-2022 (Safe Families, Homes, Communities), which invests $26 million over three years from 2019-20 to 2021-22 to prevent and respond to family and sexual violence in Tasmania.
What have we achieved so far?
Safe Homes, Families, Communities commenced implementation on 1 July 2019.
The initiative will continue with providing ongoing delivery of client-centred, specialist and consistent support services for victim-survivors.
